REVIEW: REVLON COLORSTAY FOUNDATION FOR OILY SKIN

Sunday, August 3, 2014

In a search for something that would stay on my face more than just 4 hours I took a look all over the internet and I came across to this beautiful foundation. I thought let’s give it a try and see if it really makes wonders as they promise. Until now I was using Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and it was good until summer came and I realized how starts to disappear on some places of my face. That’s why I’m always planning my dates right after I arrive because if I have some other plans in-between I just have to go to the ladies room and fix my make up before my date sees me. Ok now let’s talk about my new foundation.

It really does stays longer than usually foundations do although not 24 hours as they are saying but to be honest I was not even expecting that. I was wearing it for couple of hours, 12 hours and more than 24 hours (don’t ask) and each time it stayed on pretty well. It is actually really hard to apply because it dries super fast. I apply it first on one side of the face and blend it and then I do the same on the other side.
As you can see it doesn’t have pump to dispense and to be honest I need some time to get used to it. When I was buying it at the store saleswoman told me that this foundation is planned this way because you should be applying it with your fingers and not brushes.

Short review:
  • pros: stays longer on than usually foundations do; matt finish-good for oily skin
  • cons: without dispensing pump makes it harder to get foundation out; it doesn’t gives you complete coverage,

  6. I've tried this before and I didn't like the fact that there was no pump. Nowadays I prefer Givenchy Teint Couture and YSL foundation.

  8. I'm so sad that we don't have Revlon over here anymore. Sounds great but it would be better with a pump.

  9. I was considering buying it, because it seemed very good, pitty that it doesn´t have a pump, I don´t like using foundations like that. :)
