Few weeks ago one girl named Brooke has contacted me, to share her article about Must-have pieces for your wardrobe. And because she really did a great job, I decided to share this with all of you. I added few photos and here we are ;)

Brooke Samsonite (@brookesamsonite) is a twenty-something residing in Indianapolis who is inspired by Lifestyle & Entertainment, Home Décor /Home Improvement, Travel, and writing. Having only recently spread her always-fashionable wings and started freelance writing, Brooke loves to blog (over @ Belts & Bangles and Cooks & Travel Books) about her extensive experiences and offer valuable resources to inspire others.

Seasons come and go, and fashion seems to change just as frequently. Though it may be impossible to predict future trends, some fashions never go out of style. Great style begins with the basics, and investing in some good pieces now will serve you well for years to come.

The Little Black Dress

No wardrobe is complete without a little black dress. Black is flattering on all body shapes and is suitable for many different occasions. Find a dress that is versatile and can be worn during the day or at night. Choose a knee-length dress made in a high quality material with simple, classic lines.

The Nude Heel

A perfect nude pump, heel or sandal can make you appear taller and slimmer. Choose a shade similar to your skin tone, and pair with dresses, slacks, jeans and maybe even a pair of dressy shorts. Invest in a quality heel to ensure comfort and durability.

Blazers and Jackets

A blazer or tailored jacket can transform the look of your outfit. Choose a lightweight blazer or jacket in a neutral color. Classic black works well with almost anything, although you may also want one in beige, cream or even denim. A blazer or jacket paired with your favorite sleeveless summer tops allows you to transition effortlessly into fall.

Peacoat

Peacoats are a time-tested staple of fall and winter wardrobes. This polished piece of outerwear will keep you warm and cozy without adding bulk like other winter coats. Your peacoat should be made from 100 percent wool, and well fitted to your body. Every year, peacoats come out in several new colors. However, black, beige, gray and cream never go out of style, so start with neutrals as the cornerstone of your winter wardrobe, and branch out into other shades later.

Boots

Boots come in a variety of styles, many of which can be worn three seasons of the year and are easily paired with jeans, skirts and tights. Though most girls prefer a pair of boots in two or more shades, start with a classic black with a low heel. The padded insole will make it more comfortable to wear, and the leather uppers will ensure long-lasting wear.

Considerations

Remember, the pieces you’ll wear season after season will serve as the foundation of your entire look for years to come. Invest in quality items that are made well and tailored to fit your body. You’ll get many years out of your staple fashion pieces without having to purchase new ones every few months.

  1. The nude heels is perfect for me! I love the blog, really encouraged me to learn how to wear heels properly. And I'm interested sincerely to learn how to use heels. I want to pair it in long sleeves and jeans, I want to be taller and look sexy when I use this ^^
